About Peter Young

Peter Young

After several years as a sportsbroadcaster - more on that below - I have now been in the real estate business for over 7 years. I opened up Young Real Estate in Ashton, Idaho in 2008 after having worked for Outback Realty in Island Park, ID for the previous 4 years. I still own and operate Young Real Estate in Idaho but also work for Heart of Montana Realty in Bozeman, MT. In Ashton I routinely carried a high number of listings and one year sold more of my listings than agent in Fremont County. Now that I am a licensed broker in both Idaho and Montana I am uniquely situated to help you realize your dreams of owning a piece of paradise outside of Yellowstone National Park.

My Background

If I look a bit familiar to you that may be because I am. Before I entered the world of real estate I was a sports broadcaster, working mainly for the Outdoor Life Network, which is now called Versus. Over the years I also appeared on CBS, TNN, A&E, FOXNorthwest, CSTV and the Mountain West Network. While at OLN and the various other stations I covered a number of sporting events.... actually more like 21! Ready for the list? Here it is; bull riding, rodeo, cowboy action shooting, alpine skiing, nordic skiing, mountain biking, road cycling, track cycling, beach soccer, short track speed skating, long track speed skating, volleyball, basketball, adventure racing, show jumping, curling, boxing, lumberjack sports, dog retrieving, sailing and rock climbing. Needless to say I always considered my strong point my versatility. I was fortunate enough to travel to places like Alaska, British Columbia, Italy, and Morocco to name but a few; majestic places for sure but I always longed to be back home in the rocky mountains.

My wife, Michelle, and our five children recently moved to the farmland just outside of Bozeman, MT after having called Fremont County, Idaho home for seven years. To us, the Bozeman area it has it all.

"All" to us means great fly fishing waters, an abundance of hiking and mountain biking trails, fabulous scenery, a wonderful small town feel with big city amenities, and a community that honors and respects faith, family and country.

Keep your eyes peeled next time your surfing the channels on cable - you may see me yet again. TV execs love to show re-runs (saves money) and I still get out now and then to call events.
